Family Support Update January 2026

An oncology social worker reached out to us about a 39-year-old father facing cancer treatment, including chemotherapy and radiation, while caring for a 20-month-old toddler and preparing to welcome a new baby.

With limited family support and concerns about sending such young children to daycare, the family is seeking in-home childcare so the patient’s wife can be present for appointments and treatments while keeping their children safe at home.

This is exactly why Ribbons of C.A.R.E. exists—to remove the stress of childcare so families can focus on healing, hope, and each other.
