In 2026, Ribbons of C.A.R.E. awarded six childcare grants to five families, helping provide stability, continuity, and peace of mind when it mattered most.

How We Made a Difference

Supporting a Family Through Cancer Treatment

Two separate childcare grants helped one family navigate the challenges of cancer treatment while preparing to welcome a newborn. This assistance helped ease the financial burden of childcare during a particularly vulnerable time.

Standing Beside a Pediatric Cancer Family

A returning family received additional childcare assistance to support siblings while their family continued navigating pediatric cancer. Our support helped ensure siblings' needs remained a priority throughout treatment.

Providing Relief During Ongoing Infusion Treatments

A returning family received additional childcare assistance during ongoing medical treatments, helping ease the financial strain of balancing healthcare needs and family responsibilities.

Creating Summer Opportunities for Siblings

A childcare grant helped provide a summer camp experience for siblings while their family navigated a child's major surgery and extended hospitalization. This opportunity offered structure, positive experiences, and a sense of normalcy during a challenging summer.

Supporting a Family Through a Premature Birth and NICU Stay

When a family faced an unexpected, extremely premature delivery and an extended NICU hospitalization, Ribbons of C.A.R.E. provided temporary daycare assistance for a sibling. This support helped maintain the child's familiar routine while the family focused on their newborn's critical medical needs.
